From: Isaac Morrison

Kia ora,

I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982. Specifically, I am seeking:

1. Information regarding the operational and commercial impacts of the block of line on Auckland's rail network. This should include analysis of how block of line affects freight capacity and scheduling, the impact on Kiwirail's ability to attract and retain freight customers, and any assessments of lost commercial opportunities due to network constraints.

2. Documentation related to Kiwirail's current and planned initiatives to increase rail freight mode share. This should include strategic plans and assessments for expanding freight services, and analysis of potential freight growth opportunities in the region.

3. Information about Kiwirail's decarbonisation projects. This should include feasibility studies and planning documents for electrification of the Golden Triangle (Auckland-Hamilton-Tauranga), progress reports and timelines for closing the electrification gap between Hamilton and Pukekohe.

Please include any relevant reports, business cases, correspondence, and meeting minutes from the last three years relating to these matters.

Ngā mihi,
Zak
