From: Sami
Dear New Zealand Police,
(As per FYI requirements, I am a NZ citizen who resides in the North Island)
I would like to obtain procedures that are followed with the use of New Zealand Police Weapons such as Firearms, tasers, Police Batons, Pepper Spray and any other such weapons used in the New Zealand Police Force.
For Example:
- Procedures when police firearms are being actively carried/worn on police members during incidents.
- Procedures when police tasers and firearms leave and enter a police station.
- Procedures involving Police carrying/holding weapons while handling/interacting with a person in custody and/or is being detained.
- And any other procedures that involve the use of Police Batons, pepper spray and other weapons.
Yours faithfully,
Sam I
