Dear University of Auckland,

On 3 April 2025, law students received an email from the Acting Dean of Law entitled “ Update on the Proposed Combination between Business and Economics and Law - from the Dean of the Auckland Law School”. This is a request for information references in that email.

Please provide all information possible regarding:
- the decision that the Council Meeting scheduled for 7 April to vote on the Proposed Combination between the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Law not proceed;
- the “further options” that the University is considering;
- the decision to hold a hui to discuss these “options”; and
- the decision to communicate these decisions to students.
