Briefing for Incoming Minister - redaction deatils

Andrew Riddell made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

Currently waiting for a response from Ministry of Health, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

From: Andrew Riddell

Dear Ministry of Health,

The January 2025 Briefing to the Incoming Minister of Health Part A was recently proactively released.

Much of the document, especially the later half, has been redacted.

For each redacted paragraph I request a summary outline of what is under discussion - in more detail than the section heading provides.

I am not requesting the detail of the discussion and/or advice in each redacted paragraph, just a summary of topic or matter being discussed or advised on (in more detail than the section headings).

I note that it is some three months since the incoming Minister of Health received this briefing and I suggest that sufficient time has past since then for the information i request to be provided.

Further there is considerable public interest in advice being given by the Minister of Health in this briefing given the current state of our public health system and the propensity of the Minister to advocate for private health care instead of properly supporting our public health system.

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Riddell
