Hut Closures

Mr Bull made this Official Information request to Department of Conservation

Currently waiting for a response from Department of Conservation, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

From: Mr Bull

Dear Department of Conservation,

I would like to request information from DOC's team who are tasked with closing or removing from service bivys and huts currently maintained by DOC.

Specifically, I request:

- a list of Huts and Bivys that are currently operated or maintained by DOC that are in contention for closure, or removal/modification of maintenance
- the current operating costs of these contentious facilities
- an explanation as to why removing each of these facilities does not conflict with Conservation Act 1987, section 6c and 6e, in favour of budget or cost cutting.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Bull
