Dear Department of Corrections,
I am requesting information on all communication and consultation with mana whenua and local residents of Waikeria surrounding the expansion of Waikeria Prison.
I would also like to request any documents and communication around assessing the land for resource consent. Was there an environmental impact assessment or AEE done or any archeological assessments of the land prior to beginning construction? If so can these please be provided.
Lastly, I would like any information on how far into construction you are, and projected timelines for completion.
I am a citizen of New Zealand and currently live in Aotearoa, as stipulated under section 12(1) of the OIA 1982.
