Nigel Gray made this Official Information request to Ministry for the Environment
The request was successful.
From: Nigel Gray
Dear Ministry for the Environment,
On 26th April I sent an e-mail to Executive Relations Advisor Josh Bibby
informing him that I was in the possession of multiple reports (over 67 instances and growing) of chemtrails (aka "aerosol sprays") in skies over New Zealand as Reporting Officer for Citizens Government Corruption Watchdog Commission. As I have had no answer, I wish to ask 1. Has this email been received? 2. For any correspondence with other governmental staff by MfE or by Josh Bibby as a result, or on the subject of this e-mail.
Yours faithfully,
Nigel Gray

Dear Nigel
Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your email. I can confirm that we did receive it.
I can also confirm that there is no correspondence with other governmental staff by any MfE staff on the subject of that email.
I understand that you are concerned about aircraft trails. I can assure you that there is no reason for concern. As the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority website sets out, there are a number of reasons why you might see trails in the sky. There are good explanations here. https://www.caa.govt.nz/passengers/aircr...
Kind regards

Dear Ministerials,
The answer given does not satisfy my request as the page you referred me is contradicting itself. It states that "There are six reasons that an aircraft will leave a visible trail as it flies through the sky:" and then lists 6 reasons, none of which include chemtrails. It then states "Any other discharge of material from an aircraft is prohibited by New Zealand Civil Aviation Rules"
If there are as this information page states, only 6 reasons and aircraft leaves visible contrails, then "any other discharge" would be impossible and therefore prohibiting an impossibility would be superfluous, wouldn't it?
However as my concerns are regarding this specific problem; the discharge of hazardous and toxic chemicals over New Zealand airspace, and given that you wish to call trails after an airplane "exhaust smoke" or "exhaust condensation" (and I am not referring to top-dressing planes here but specifically to jet trails), has there been any testing of these "exhaust trails" or "condensation trails" to determine chemical content by MfE?
Additionally and specifically has there been any exhaust trail or exhaust condensation trail testing of planes that fall under the "un-identified" category on the flight plane tracker?
Finally, as I am now in the possession of multiple reports of chemtrails being dropped from one end of NZ to another, with evidence to boot, and you are apparently in denial, are you satisfied that I go public, ie. media, alternative media, pamphlets and radio shows, with this evidence, or would you prefer to examine it first? Regards, Nigel Gray
Yours sincerely,
Nigel Gray

Dear Nigel.
Thanks for your email.
As noted in my previous email, there are a number of reasons that you see jet trails in the sky. These are set out on the CAA website https://www.caa.govt.nz/passengers/aircr.... We are satisfied this matter does not require any further attention or investigation.
Regards
Claire McClintock
