Request for Contractor Engagement information for "Advanced Bus Solution" report
Tony Randle made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The authority would like to / has responded by post to this request.
From: Tony Randle
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
In January 2017, the NZTA published the "Advanced Bus Solution" report (http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/advanc...). This report examines rapid transit options between the Auckland CBD and the Airport. In March 2017, the NZTA announced that:
"Both boards have agreed that there will be a staged, integrated transition from bus to light rail transit from the Airport to the city centre, based on future demand and capacity, and to commence route protection for this important gateway corridor between two of Auckland’s key growing employment areas." (http://www.nzta.govt.nz/media-releases/a...)
The key role of the Advanced Bus Solution had in the above decision is noted in this press release.
I previously requested for the information that supports the recommendations in the Advanced Bus Solution report and the NZTA refused to provide it on the ground that it does not hold this information (https://fyi.org.nz/request/5629-cost-ben...).
I am interested in how the NZTA engaged the consultants for the Advanced Bus Solution that made the recommendation behind this major decision on the future of Auckland Transport.
1) Can I please have a copy of the Terms of Reference or equivalent that was approved for the Advanced Bus Solution Study and Report ?
2) Can I please have a copy of the tender documents or equivalent that were issued in order to engage the consultants for the Advanced Bus Solution Study and Report ?
3) Can I please have a copy of the contract signed to engage the consultants for the Advanced Bus Solution Study and Report ?
4) Can I please have a copy of the NZTA meeting agenda's and minutes (including any supporting presentations and/or reports) between NZTA and the consultants for the Advanced Bus Solution Study and Report ?
5) Can I please have a copy of the NZTA meeting agenda's and minutes that accepted the final version of Advanced Bus Solution Study and Report ?
6) Can I please have a copy of the NZTA Board meeting agenda's and minutes (including any supporitng presentation and/or reports) that where the decision to support "a staged, integrated transition from bus to light rail transit from the Airport to the city centre" was made ?
I would prefer the information was provided in its complete and original format. I would also prefer that all correspondence on this OIA request be via the FYI web site.
Finally, can the NZTA please acknowledge this OIA request ?
Yours faithfully,
Tony Randle
