Wellington City Council
Hello David,
Thank you for your patience with regard to the below request.
We have spoken with NZ Police about the information requested, as it was believed initially that they as an agency, were more suited to respond to the request. If this was the case, the Council was going to transfer the request to the Police.
However, the Council had already made an OIA request of the Police for the information relating to the incident, as it was not held by the Council, so that we were in a better position to understand the matter. The Police have confirmed that the information released to the Council is approved for releasing to further requestors. As such, I have attached the Police information to this email. Please note that there are considerable redactions to the information. This was carried out by the Police, and you are receiving the same information as held by the Council.
With regard to your further questions, the Council has not changed its parking enforcement policy as a result of the incident, and no infringement notices have been issued as a result of the incident.
If I can be of any further assistance on this matter, please contact me.
Kind regards
Chris
