Travel taken by Jami-Lee Ross and Sarah Dowie (MPs) since 2014
Reuben Tilley made this Official Information request to Parliamentary Service
The request was refused by Parliamentary Service.
From: Reuben Tilley
Dear Parliamentary Service,
Good morning,
I have been directed to you from the DIA per https://fyi.org.nz/request/8971-travel-t...
I acknowledge you are not subject to the IOA yet hope you will be able to assist as I believe you are the entity responsible for compiling travel expenses for MP's.
I am trying to find out the travel arrangements of two current MP's; specifically locations, costs and timings in order to find out which engagements overlap from 20 September 2014 to the present day.
I am hoping to gain this understanding by seeing the location of expenses and their time/date or invoiced stay that would be on the specific invoices or credit card/travel claim statements.
The two MP's in question are:
- Sarah Dowie is the Member of Parliament for Invercargill since 2014.
- Jami-Lee Ross is the Member of Parliament for Botany since 2011.
Ngā mihi,
Reuben Tilley

Parliamentary Service
Dear Reuben
Thank you for your email request. You are correct the Parliamentary Service is responsible for the quarterly disclosure of members of Parliament surface and air travel expenditure. This information can be found using the following https://www.parliament.nz/en/mps-and-ele... However we do not report this expenditure at the level you have requested. As this is the members own information you would need to address your specific questions with the members directly.
