From: Official Information
Christchurch City Council
Dear Geoffrey,
I refer to your email we received on 13 January 2019. You requested the
following, under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (LGOIMA):
I request copies of all correspondence to and from the Christchurch City
Council and the Lime e Scooter company to date.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet the original time limit and
I am writing to notify you of an extension of 15 working days to make our
decision, to 6 March 2019.
This is necessary as your request is relevant to a third party who we are
consulting before making a decision. Therefore a proper response cannot
reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review this
extension. Complaints can be sent by email to
[email address], by fax to (04) 471 2254, or by post to The
Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington 6143.
Kind regards,
Sean Rainey

Christchurch City Council
Dear Geoffrey,
I refer to your official information request we received on 13 January
2019 requesting the following:
I request copies of all correspondence to and from the Christchurch City
Council and the Lime e Scooter company to date.
Extension of timeframe
On 8 February 2019, we extended the timeframe on our response to you by an
additional 15 working days.
Council Response
The Council has decided to release this information to you with some
information withheld under the following section of the LGOIMA:
- 7(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural persons
In the Council's view the reasons for withholding these details are not
outweighed by public interest considerations in section 7(1) favouring
their release.
The information can be accessed on the Council's website on the LGOIMA
responses page under City Services and Transport:

This information will be made available shortly.
You have the right to request the Ombudsman to review this decision.
