Knowledge of cruelty to animals by OSPRI shareholders
T. Benseman made this Official Information request to Damien O'Connor
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Damien O'Connor should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: T. Benseman
Dear Damien O'Connor,
Have you read the online document "How Humane are our pest control tools" ? Seeing as our agriculture industry has been rail-roaded into a 10's of millions of dollars toxin spreading business by OSPRI NZ Ltd shareholders Beef + Lamb NZ Ltd, Dairy NZ and Deer Industry NZ to spread toxins that take 120 hours to kill wild pigs during which time they vomit 13.6 times on average before death and thousands of wild deer with similarly cruel outcomes, in order to address a false TB problem which was cured decades ago, I wonder if you have considered the risk our ag industry is open to by continuing this inhumane practice. If so please explain how you sleep at night by continuing it, and also explain what strategies we have in place to recover from a market crash should this information get to our international markets.
Thanks,
T Benseman

Dear Aeron Corlett,
I disagree with your assessment. " strategies we have in place to recover from a market crash should this information get to our international markets." should be official information. Unless you actually don't have strategies?
Thanks,
T. Benseman
