Further to your questions of Tuesday 26 March 2019 relating to budget plan
reviews and our budget alignment, I am pleased to note there is an
extremely thorough process for reviewing implementation of our annual
plans to ensure they are aligned with our budget.

 

The Auckland DHB produces an annual plan outlining what we wish to achieve
each year and this is closely managed to ensure we stay within budget and
meet our targets.  A monthly financial report is sent to the Ministry of
Health for review on behalf of the Minister of Health, the Hon David
Clarke. Financial performance is reported to the Auckland District Health
Board and board sub committees every six weeks.

The Auckland District Health Board’s Annual Report is tabled in Parliament
each year and provides information on how well we have done in achieving
our targets within budget.  Our activities are also closely scrutinised by
the Parliamentary Health Select Committee.
