Breakdown of Traffic Offences
Zhivan Alach made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: Zhivan Alach
Dear New Zealand Police,
I should like to request the following information for the purposes of a research project. I may have got some of the terminology wrong.
1. A full list of traffic offence codes (infringement offence notices, traffic offence notices)showing the code and the linked offence.
2. A list of all traffic offences, including offence code (the only detail I require)recorded by NZ Police between 1 July 2011 and 30 June 2012.
If this information could be provided as an Excel spreadsheet to facilitate searching and analysis, I would be grateful.
Yours faithfully,
Zhivan J. Alach
New Zealand Police

Kind regards

Dear THOMSON, Raewyn,
Thanks for the information, it's exactly what I wanted.
Unfortunately instead of an Excel spreadsheet the data has come through in a PDF that doesn't fit on one page horizontally (making sorting and analysis impossible). The first few columns are on one page, and then the others on a later page, so it's impossible to see which number applies to which category.
Could you please resend the data in an Excel spreadsheet rather than a PDF?
Yours sincerely,
Zhivan Alach
