Number of s11 authorisations under Terrorism Suppression Act
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Prime Minister
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Prime Minister,
In 2002 Parliament passed the Terrorism Suppression Act. The Act bans dealing with the property of prescribed terrorist entities (s9), or making property available to such entities (s10). However, it also allows the Prime Minister to authorise such dealings (s11). I would like to request the following information under the Official Information Act 1982:
* how many authorisations have been issued under s11 Terrorism Suppression Act since the Act entered into force?
* if the answer to the above is not "zero", I would like copies of all such authorisations.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
