     Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act I

     request the following information:

    

     A list of all positions (job titles) directly employed by the

     Council, and the number of staff in each of those roles.

     Any briefings, reports, advice, transcripts, notes, correspondence,

     aide memoires or any other documents regarding any proposal to

     amalgamate the Council with neighbouring Councils.

    

     I note that according to the LGOIMA response calculator on the

     website of the Office of the Ombudsmen, I should receive a response

     to this request on or before 25 June 2012.

    

     I would appreciate acknowledgement of this request.

Hi Sam

I am writing in regard to your request for Official Information
relating to Taupō District Council staff titles and numbers, and
any discussions relating to the amalgamation with neighbouring
Councils.

As I did not receive an answer from you regarding specifics related
to below, there are currently no documents related to the
amalgamation with neighbouring Councils. There have been high level
discussions within Mayoral forums related to the possibility of
sharing services with other Councils. However, these discussions
have not even got to the level of detail as to which Councils these
could be.

Attached is an excel spreadsheet with the list of Council positions
and numbers.
