DoC Personnel at Fox River Clean Up

A. Aoe made this Official Information request to Department of Conservation

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for A. Aoe to read recent responses and update the status.

From: A. Aoe

Dear Department of Conservation,

In March 2019 a significant flooding event exposed an old land fill on the edge of the Fox River resulting in contamination of the river downstream and along the adjacent coastline.

The Department of Conservation made responsible for the task of cleaning up in June.

There has been much media coverage recently (July 2019) of the commitment by volunteers and the Defence Force to this task.

Can you please confirm how many DoC staff have been physically in the area working on this response each week for June, July and August, not including volunteers or Defence Force personnel?

How much has DoC spent on this response?

Has the Minister of Conservation visited the the site as yet? (i.e. before 26 Jul 19)

Yours faithfully,

A. Aoe
