From: Sue Grey
Dear Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment,
Please can you provide the following information:
1) What amounts were paid for the production of the document 'evaluating the use of 1080 and to whom were they paid'
2) what organisations paid these amounts.
3) what were the qualifications of each of the staff or employees who were involved in the preparation of this report by the office of the PCE and how many hours were each of these individuals engaged?
4) copies of all communications between and Minister or any officer of DoC, MfE or MPI and the office of the PCR ( or any of her advisors)
Thank you and kind regards

From: Reception
Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment
Kia Ora Sue Grey,
Thank you for your emails below. The answers to your first three
questions are as follows:
1. The costs involved in publication of the 2011 report were:
* External reviewer costs: $1,308.13 + $4,312.50 = $5,620.63 (GST
inclusive)
* InDesign and printing costs: $660.10 (advance copies) + $6,495.25
(500x copies) + $7,512.95 (700x copies) = $14,668.30 (GST inclusive)
* Total production costs (excluding proof-reading): $20,288.93 (GST
inclusive).
2. All of the costs were paid by the PCE.
3. We do not record the time spent by various employees on investigations
and reports. This is (among other things) because reports are issued by
the PCE under his or her own auspices.
We will respond separately in relation to your fourth question.
Nāku noa, nā
