Police responding to Ambulance call outs
Jason made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: Jason
Dear New Zealand Police,
I am a New Zealand resident and wish to make a request for information under the Official Information Act.
I would like to know if Police routinely monitor ambulance dispatch communications.
Do individual officers have the ability to monitor / listen to communications between ambulance staff and dispatch?
Under what circumstances do Police attend emergency call outs requesting an ambulance for a drug overdose?
I would also like to know how many emergency call outs for drug overdoses Police attended in 2018.
Kind regards,
Jason
New Zealand Police
