New Zealand Police
Dear Andrew
I refer to your Official Information Act (the Act) request of 6 January
2020 for information relating to 111 calls between a certain timeframe and
relating to the yellow haze over Auckland.
I am letting you know that Police requires an extension of time in which
to respond to your request, pursuant to section 15A(1) of the Act, because
the request involves a large amount of information and necessitates
consultations such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.
Police require until 28 February 2020 to provide a substantive response to
your request.
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Act to ask the Ombudsman to
investigate and review my decision to extend the time limit for deciding
upon your request.
Kind regards
Ministerial Services
