My UK drivers license
Louise Hopkins made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
Response to this request is long overdue. By law New Zealand Transport Agency should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
I understand from the Wanaka police that my uk drivers licence was sent to you. On follow up since June 2020 I have had confirmation from the NZTA that you did not receive my drivers licence and that you do not hold it. I now have a lodged notice evidence from the police that the license was indeed sent to you.
Either you have lost it or you have sent it to the UK. Under the current law you are not permitted to destroy a foreign licence.
I am trying to have my New Zealand licence reissued but without my UK license as evidence of driving the process is more complicated. I would need to set a test again etc etc.
Please could you contact me urgently or call me better still on 0211122456 so that I may understand what you have done with my licence.
Thank you.,
Louise Hopkins

Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
Please note I am unable to drive without my original UK license . Foreign licences are not valid after one year so I must apply for a NZ license and cannot do this until you return my UK license.
IN the meantime I am not permitted to drive.
URGENT REQUEST TO RESPOND.
Yours faithfully,
Louise Hopkins
