New Lynn to Avondale Shared path abandoned Whau bridge construction
dukeofurl made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for dukeofurl to read recent responses and update the status.
From: dukeofurl
Dear Auckland Transport,
The new New Lynn Avondale Shared path has had a new bridge under construction for some time where it crosses the Whau Crk. I notice recently the construction has been abandoned incomplete, the temporary formwork removed and a large bridge support pier unfinished with a reinforcing cage left to rust.
Could you please provide the following information.
What is the cost spent so far on this bridge.
What is the cost to restart and complete construction.
Any reports to AT and Whau Local Board on the reasons for the contractor no longer being on site.
Please direct any responses to FYI website via email
Yours faithfully,
