Response to this request is long overdue. By law Auckland Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

Dear Auckland Council,
I have been informed their is a bylaw which predates the Auckland council being formed that prohibits skateboards being used within Waiuku town centre.
I have been told by several business owners and business association the police won't remove the skate boards of offenders because. "The By-law predates, the Auckland council and this renders them powerless."
Did the council until the review of the bylaws remove their validity, I was under the impression by-laws were still enforceable.
