Covid-19: Procedures for at home Isolation and at home Quarantine.

I am a New Zealand citizen. I make this request under the Official Information Act

I anticipate that this information may be held by multiple agencies. As such I have made this request to the following agencies.

Please provide the following information as at 2nd November 2021.

1. All documentation relating to the processes and procedures for managing persons isolated at home under the ‘Overseas Arrivals At Home MIQ trial’ currently underway. Please ensure this includes, but is not limited to, the documentation of processes and procedures for;
a. The assessment of individual risk-factors for compliance with the requirements of at home isolation. Please ensure that you include details as to whether assessment inquires as to criminal convictions or membership of a gang (as gang is defined in s2 of the Prohibition of Gang Insignia in Government Premises Act 2013)
b. Testing for Covid-19 including how samples are to be collected.
c. Monitoring for health symptoms including any diagnostic instruments such as thermometers provided to isolated persons.
d. Monitoring for ‘stay home’ compliance including any technology used to support this.
e. Monitoring for ‘no visitors’ compliance including any technology used to support this
f. Procedures to be followed if an isolated person tests positive for Covid-19 including how they are evaluated against the criteria for quarantining at home as a positive case.

Please ensure this includes, but is not limited to, the documentation of processes and procedures for;
a. How individuals The assessment of individual and/or group risk-factors for compliance with at home quarantine. I understand that you also have directed your request to the following
agencies: the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Auckland
District Health Board (DHB), Counties Manukau DHB, and Waitamatâ DHB. On 4
November 2021, the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) accepted transfer
from the DHBs. However, I have since been advised that some of the
information you have requested is not held by the Ministry, but by
Auckland Regional Public Health Service and the Northern Region Health
Coordination Centre (NRHCC). For this reason, I have decided to transfer
parts 2a, 2b, 2d, 2e, 2f, and 2g of your request to ARPHS and NRHCC via
Auckland DHB under section 14(b)(i) of the Act. You can expect a response
from ARPHS and NRHCC in due course.

 

The Ministry acknowledges that these parts of your request were accepted
in error and we apologise for the inconvenience and any frustration caused
to you as a result.

 

Under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to

The Ministry of Health has decided to extend the period of time available
to respond to your request under section 15A of the Official Information
Act 1982 (the Act) as further consultation is required.

 

You can now expect a response to your request on, or before, 19 January
2022. Please note that this includes the holiday shutdown period laid out
in the Act from 25 December 2021 to 15 January 2022.

 

You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the time available to respond to your
