Te Urungi Innovating Aotearoa Fund Design Development (MCH)

Nic Lane made this Official Information request to Ministry for Culture and Heritage

The request was successful.

From: Nic Lane

Dear Ministry for Culture and Heritage,

Firstly I think it's really exciting that you decided to create a funding mechanism with oral submissions at the heart of it. I think this is very progressive in creating more accessible platforms where the funder is able to deeply engage authentically with a wider selection of the community and hopefully learn more in the process.

Are you able to supply the detailed planning involved in designing the delivery of the fund 'Te Urungi' including key timelines, user personas, and the budget for the delivery of the events?

Can ensure you include:
- What was the procurement process was for selecting delivery partners.

- How was the physical access of the venues assessed.

- What artists were selected to speak to set the tone of the three days.

- Did the manuhiri waiata change depending on the location?

- How was the title 'experts' chosen to represent the support panels, how were these individuals selected/remunerated?

- What design iterations have been made since the fund was first implemented? How was feedback collected, including dates this was requested from participants following the workshops. How was this subsequently prioritised, and can you able to please supply feedback in a csv file with the names retracted.

Yours faithfully,

Nic Lane [he/him]

I refer to your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), dated 25 November 2021, for the following:

Detailed planning involved in designing the delivery of the fund 'Te Urungi' including key timelines, user personas, and the budget for the delivery of the events. Can ensure you include:
- What was the procurement process was for selecting delivery partners.
- How was the physical access of the venues assessed.

- What design iterations have been made since the fund was first implemented? How was feedback collected, including dates this was requested from participants following the workshops. How was this subsequently prioritised, and can you able to please supply feedback in a csv file with the names retracted.

The Ministry requires additional time to make a decision on your request. This extension is necessary because your request is for a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our operations.

This extension has been made under sections 15A(1)(a) of the OIA. You can expect to receive a response to your request by no later than 14 February 2022, earlier if possible.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or free phone 0800 802 602.
