New Capital Connection Rolling Stock - Provision for bicycles
Richard Young made this Official Information request to KiwiRail
Response to this request is long overdue. By law KiwiRail should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Richard Young
Dear KiwiRail,
I understand that there will be new rolling stock for the Capital Connection in 2023. Please can you provide me with information on the design capacity for bicycles on each 'train set' of carriages and how many train sets will make up each service.
Please can you also advise on any planned or proposed restrictions on carrying bicycles including trains with no/limited bicycles permitted, e-bikes, cargo bikes, tandems when these train sets come into service.
Yours faithfully,
Richard Young
