Kia ora Bruce
I am contacting you about your OIA where you asked:
“Do the New Zealand police have any record of, or any information
regarding any court attendance, court case, charges or conviction of Mr
Clarke Timothy Gayford within the years of 2019 to 2022 inclusive.”
Police released a statement to Newshub earlier this week on the same
matter, which can be found in the article linked below:
[1]https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zeala...
I have also copied the relevant part here for you:
Police have also responded to the rumours, releasing a statement to
Newshub this week saying that while they don't respond to queries asking
if certain people are under investigation, "on this occasion we can say
that Mr Gayford is not and has not been the subject of any police inquiry,
nor has he been charged in relation to any matter".
I hope that this is sufficient to answer your query. If it is, would you
please withdraw your OIA?
Thanks very much
Kind regards
Melina

And not only that but that statement by police was made in 2018!

The question has not been answered and the Police are in clear breach of the act. Asking for the inquiry to be withdrawn is an indication that the actual question has not been answered, the police preferring instead to allow the bought and paid for MSM deliver a statement dating back to 2018. Failure to directly answer the question and their attempts to avoid the issue is a clear indication that Clarke has been a naughty boy.

I can not imagine this OIA request will be given credibility when our OIA requests to the NZ Police have been blatantly dismissed and given 'cease and desist' letters.. why? Because we have new evidence about the Crewe murders which the Judiciary and Police hierarchy seem to want to cover up. Google what happened to the missing gun in the Crewe case and Karl Lobb... Judith Collins was Police Minister when she ignored a sworn affidavit and David Seymour says leave the case alone because it is 50 years old.. why? Because they are protecting the horse breeding fraternity in Judith's electorate who have perverted the course of justice.. fact. Don't forget who Jacinda Ardern's father is.. but this OIA request seems trivial compared to our's and Arthur Thomas's brother's requests for justice
Things to do with this request
- Add an annotation (to help the requester or others)
- Download a zip file of all correspondence

Is it professional or a legitimate way for NZ police to respond to this request by referring the questioning party to find the information requested via a MSM new article?
