Feb 2018 - police invasion of 30 Hospital Tce reported to IPCA and Stuart Nash
Velma Farquhar made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: Velma Farquhar
Dear New Zealand Police, (Senior Executives including the Police Commissioner)
I am requesting all emails between Stuart Nash and myself in early 2018 pertaining to the report of our home being invaded by Police at 30 Hospital Tce Napier.
Police at IR-Central has refused to provide this information. They accepted my request and then withdrew it. It is very sensitive information that will save me from an eternity under Mental Health caused by Nash reporting me to FTAC twice.
Eastern Sector holds evidence of these events here in Eastern Sector and meetings have been held to discuss the events that took place.
The investigations of Public Service and the Ombudsman reviewed this information but they have not released their information to me yet.
Yours faithfully,
Velma Farquhar

On behalf of Hon Stuart Nash, we acknowledge receipt of your further
Official Information Act requests which were transferred to this Office by
New Zealand Police on 11 May requesting:
“I am seeking the emails between myself and Sturat Nash in early 2018
where he first threatened me with FTAC. It was an email conversation
whereby I reported that my home at 30 Hospital Tce had been invaded by
police on a Friday night and that they got in through our ranchsliders. I
told him that I overheard their conversation about their break in on a
wideband radio right beside our bed at about 11pm that night. I told him
that I had already tried to report the crime to IPCA but they would not
respond and when they did they did not take the report seriously and no
action was taken. No officers came to our home and police have refused to
discuss the matter ever since. He did not want to deal with me so I told
Stuart Nash he was the Police Minister and our MP for Napier. I had a
right to contact him about this very serious matter. He threatened me
with fTAC and has used FTAC on two separate occasions. We are in the
process of another Hearing and this evidence is URGENT.”
“I have made a second request for emails in early 2018 between Velma
Farquhar and Stuart Nash where Nash threatened me with FTAC.”
“Two requests were made this morning and no confirmation has been
received. Please respond.”
As the three new requests submitted by you are regarding the same
information, these and your earlier requests will be responded to under
OIA22-028 and OIA22-029 respectively.
