Excess deaths from Covid Vaccine

Steven Cranston made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Steven Cranston

Dear Ministry of Health,
A recent Medsafe report titled - Adverse events following immunization with Covid19 vaccines, has been used by the Ministry of Health to dismiss concerns that Covid vaccines may result in an increased chance of death.

This report references deaths that are voluntary reported to CARM so can not give an accurate assessment of all vaccine related deaths.

Does the Ministry of Health have any research or documents that includes ALL deaths recorded in the 21 days after receiving a Covid-19 vaccine?

Can the Ministry of Health release all documents or communication related to the limitations of the Medsafe report relying on voluntarily reported deaths data?

Does the Ministry of Health have any documents or communication that demonstrates they acknowledge voluntary reported data is not suitable for making statistically robust conclusions about Covid-19 vaccine related deaths?

Can the Ministry of Health provide all communication, emails or documents between the Ministry of Health and other entities or individuals relating to the decision to use voluntary reported deaths as opposed to using data on all deaths?

Yours faithfully,

Steven Cranston

Dear OIA Requests,

If the Ministry of Health has no data on ALL deaths in the 21 days after vaccination, can you please take the time to confirm that specifically. You have not yet answered my question.

It is obvious from my line of questioning that I’m seeking to decipher why voluntary data was used instead of assessing all deaths.

This is important information as it relates to the accuracy of accidental deaths reported from vaccination.

Yours sincerely,

Steven Cranston

Kia ora Steven,

The Medsafe Safety Report provides an overview of Adverse Events Following
Immunisation (AEFIs) reported to the Centre for Adverse Reactions
Monitoring (CARM), where the person who was vaccinated was reported to
have died, and analysis of observed versus expected deaths using data from
the New Zealand mortality register (not voluntary data). More information
on this is available on the Medsafe
website: [1]www.medsafe.govt.nz/COVID-19/vaccine-report-overview.asp

The analysis uses the mortality database for New Zealand to identify
anyone who died from any cause (including a traffic accident for example)
within 21 days of being vaccinated and compares that to the number of
people who would normally die in that time period using data from previous
years. The mortality database tool is available here:
[2]www.tewhatuora.govt.nz/our-health-system/data-and-statistics/mortality-web-tool. These
tables show that the actual deaths that have occurred among the vaccinated
population are lower than the average number of expected deaths, based on
the mortality data. Please note that the mortality collections operate
many weeks in arrears. This is considered in the analysis and outlined in
the report.

Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of Health) stands by the decisions made in
response to your previous requests for information and as you have been
previously informed under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to
ask the Ombudsman to review any decisions made under your requests. The
Ombudsman may be contacted by email at: [email address] or by
calling 0800 802 602.
Please note that continuing to request the same information after you have
been advised that it does not exist and using the Act in this manner could
be construed as vexatious and result in such requests being refused under
section 18(h) of the Act.
