Police Manual chapter on 'Social Networking, Open Source Information and Online Practitioner'
New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties to read a recent response and update the status.
From: New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties
Dear New Zealand Police,
On 13 June 2022, the Police responded to an OIA request and provided a list of all Police Manual chapters, as at May 2022.
The request can be found here: https://fyi.org.nz/request/19200-police-...
The Police reference number for that request seems to be IR-01-22-11586.
Listed in the spreadsheet of chapters disclosed by the Police on 13 June 2022 was this entry:
"Social Networking, Open Source Information and Online Practitioner"
The New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties requests a copy of the current edition of the chapter "Social Networking, Open Source Information and Online Practitioner", and all previous editions of that chapter, or chapters with different names covering the same topics.
Under section 16(2) of the OIA our preferences are (a) to receive a copy of the whole document (b) that the information is disclosed in a text searchable format, either Word or PDF, and (c) that it is sent to the email address from which the Police received this request.
If the Police decide that there is 'good reason' under the OIA to withhold any of the information we are requesting, then under section 19(a)(ii) of the OIA, we further request that the Police provide us with the grounds in support of each withholding reason cited for refusal.
If any part of our request is unclear, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Yours faithfully,
New Zealand Council for Civil Liberties
