2024 MB ChB program via the Refugee Sub-Category
Ali made this Official Information request to University of Otago
The request was successful.
From: Ali
Dear University of Otago,
I would like to request a breakdown of the applications, offers, and admissions into the 2024 MB ChB program via the Refugee Sub-Category.
I would like to know the minimum, median and mean academic scores of those who were offered a place into the program.
Lastly, if interviews offered for entry into MB ChB via HSFY Refugee Category applicants.
If so, in order to receive an interview does an applicant have to select Dentistry as one of their preferred professional programme choices? (I ask this as Dentistry has an interview policy for HSFY whereas MB ChB does not. )
Yours faithfully,
Ali

Tēnā koe Ali,
I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 5 May 2024.
Would it be possible to please clarify your request? In the first two questions in your request, you have asked for a breakdown of the 'applications, offers, and admissions into the 2024 MB ChB program via the Refugee Sub-Category, and the minimum, median and mean academic scores of those who were offered a place into the program'. Are you interested in this data for the Health Sciences First Year category (HSFY)?
Alternatively, if there is something else you are interested in, it would be appreciated if you could please clarify this for us.
We will wait to hear back from you before we continue to process your request.
Ngā mihi
