CDF's overseas medals
Chris made this Official Information request to New Zealand Defence Force
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Chris to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Chris
Dear New Zealand Defence Force,
There is an OIA on your page about the CDF being awarded a US medal. He was also awarded an Australian medal.
I request:
1. Citations for these medals
2. Who approved him being awarded foreign medals?
3. Has the Governor General approved him to wear those medals with his uniform? If not, has a request been made? Can I please see the paperwork that was done for this?
4. What budget did the NZDF use for ceremonies presenting the medals?
5. Do soldiers have to accept medals awarded to them?
6. Has the CDF had the medals mounted?
7. How long from the time that the medals were first offered to the time they were accepted by the CDF?
8. How long from the time that the CDF asked the GG for approval to wear to the time approval was granted?
Yours faithfully,
Chris
