Dear Ministry of Social Development,

How many students as of 1 June 2015 receive the student allowance payment and what is the average amount received. Additionally are there more students receiving an allowance this year compared to previous years and is the average amount received an increase or decrease compared to years prior.

I just want to clarify that by allowance I refer to the benefit certain students are eligible for that they do not have to pay back and not the living costs payment that you can get from your student loan.
