          “Request: Please provide information on the number of prescribed
positions in Health NZ, how this has changed with time. 

Outline the process for monitoring whether the people in these positions
have a current vulnerable children check, and what proportion of people in
these roles, have a current vulnerable children check.”

 

I apologise for the delay in providing our response. The time taken is not
what we aspire to. This is something we are working to get on top of as we
deal with a high volume of requests and the understandably high public
interest in our work.  

In order to provide you with the information requested, could you please
clarify the information you are seeking or what information in particular
you are after? 

Who do you mean by prescribed positions? Do you mean defined as having an
approved accreditation, they are an approved operator, they have a trade
or profession and are certified, qualified and/or registered, or the
professional membership check (registration and annual practising
certificate). So, it should mean those in roles that require
qualifications and have them so that may not include corporate care and
support workers?

 

Can you please response to this request by close of business 28 January
2025 so we can proceed with your request. If we do not receive a response
to this clarification request we may not be able to provided a response.
