the following University of Auckland papers. Could the following
statistics please be provided under the Official Information Act.

(1) Final grade distribution (broken down grade by grade, e.g., A+, A,
etc.).

(2) The mean numerical mark.

(3) The median numerical mark.

(4) The number of students who completed the following courses:

2022 Semester 1

Pharmacy 311

2022 Semester 2

Pharmacy 312

2023 Semester 1

Pharmacy 701

Pharmacy 413A

2023 Semester 2

Pharmacy 702

Pharmacy 413B”

Your request for final grade distribution (item 1) and the number of
students who completed the above courses (item 2) is refused under section
18(d) of the Official Information Act as the information requested is or
will soon be publicly available.

For information related to the final distribution of grades for all taught
courses offered by the University of Auckland in the 2022 academic year,
please refer to
[1]https://fyi.org.nz/request/28467-histori...
and for the 2023 academic year, please refer to
[2]https://fyi.org.nz/request/27761-average.... Any
request for information withheld from those OIA responses under section
9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of our students is refused here for the
same reason.

Your requests for the mean numerical mark (item 2) and the median
numerical mark (item 3) are refused under section 18(d) as the University
does not hold this information. Grades, not marks, are the University's
final measure of academic assessment. Marks are used for initial
calculation of grades (see
[3]https://cdn.auckland.ac.nz/assets/auckla...)
but grades may be subsequently changed for various reasons, such as
aegrotat/compassionate consideration or academic misconduct.

You have the right to complain to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied
with this response.

Yours sincerely,

Farleigh Quinlivan
