Body Armour System (BAS) Policy Document

N. Dunbier made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for N. Dunbier to read a recent response and update the status.

From: N. Dunbier

Tēnā koutou New Zealand Police,

On 8 June 2022, NZ Police released a list of policy documents that included a document titled "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy" [1] (reference IR-01-22-11586).

I would like to request a document that was supposed to be made available in the Police Manual Chapter "Uniform, Dress standards and appearance"[2] released in September 2022, but had been removed from that chapter and is now inaccessible. It's titled "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy".

Please release the following information:

1. If the latest version of "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy" is still in effect:

1a. A copy of the latest version of "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy".
1b. The date on which the current version of this document came into effect.

2. If the latest version of "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy" is no longer in effect:

2a. The date on which the latest version of "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy" became inactive.
2b. The document(s) that replaced "Body Armor System (BAS) Policy", if there are any.

3. The licence under which this information is released.

If possible, I would prefer that the information be released under a Creative Commons licence, such as the CC BY-NC-DC 4.0 licence used for Police Manual chapters released on the NZ Police website [3][4].

Please provide this information in an accessible, searchable format without a watermark.

If any information needs to be withheld from the document, please ensure this is not done in a way that makes the surrounding content (such as other content on the same page) inaccessible.

Ngā mihi,
N. Dunbier
