Erica Stanford
Kia ora Andrew,
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) requested acknowledged on March 17, 2025.
Members of this office regularly communicate with Minister Seymour and/or his Office. Your request is broad in scope covering multiple channels, including emails, texts, and correspondence exchanged via WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, and Slack. Identifying all relevant correspondence would require manually reviewing a significant volume of communications, which would involve substantial collation and research. Requiring them to go through multiple channels of communication to identify any correspondence with staff would require significant time and prevent them from undertaking their day-to-day role, and do not believe it is in the public interest for staff time to be diverted in this way.
We ask that you please refine your request.
Unless your request is amended, we may need to refuse it under section 18(f) of the Official Information Act 1982, as it would require substantial collation and research.
Please note, under section 15 of the Act, any clarification or amendments made to a request within seven days after the date it is received may be treated as a new request and the time limit for the response restarts.
Kind regards,
Office of Hon Erica Stanford
