I am interested in doing some basic geographic analysis of 2013 Census
data but I do not have the specialist geographic analysis tool normally
required to do this analysis.  Having the centroid geographic location for
Census meshblocks, area units, Urban Areas and Territorial Authorities
would enable to me to complete this analysis using a spreadsheet

1) Can Statistics New Zealand please provide a list of the Census 2013
meshblocks and geographic centroid locations that have had the geographic
centroid locations for them calculated ?

 

2) Can Statistics New Zealand please provide a list of the Census 2013
Area Units and geographic centroid locations that have had the geographic
centroid locations for them calculated ?

 

3) Can Statistics New Zealand please provide a list of the Census 2013
Urban areas and geographic centroid locations that have had the geographic
centroid locations for them calculated ?

 

4) Can Statistics New Zealand please provide a list of the Census 2013
Territorial authorities and geographic centroid locations that have had
the geographic centroid locations for them calculated ?

 

I would prefer the information was provided to me in either MS Excel
electronic format or in Text File electronic format.  I would also prefer
that any dialogue on this information request was via the
[6]www.fyi.org.nz web site.

 

I am happy to discuss any issues with providing the requested information.

Thank you for the Centroid information for the 2013 Census meshblocks,
area units, etc.

 

Unfortunately, while most of the spreadsheet information is accessible, I
cannot open the file "Statistics NZ Meshblock True Centroid 061115.xlsx" 
as Excel (version 2010) reports the file is corrupt.  Can you please check
and, if required, upload a readable version of the Meshblock centroid
information ?
