The request was successful.
From: Cody C
Dear New Zealand Police,
I am requesting the precise locations of fixed speed cameras in accordance with the Official Information Act. If this is public information already available I would appreciate being directed to that information. For the purposes of the Act, I am a NZ Citizen and I would prefer an electronic response.
Yours faithfully,

I was going to contact Police for clarification on the email address comment above, until I examined the thread. We send new requests to information@ (and have done for six years), while Police replied from CRL@ - then complained that you replied to them at address.
If Police don't want OIA follow-ups sent to CRL@ then they should probably not send OIA responses from that address in the first place.

Dear New Zealand Police,
Please clarify if the fixed speed cameras are operated by NZTA or Police.
If it is the latter this should not be referred.

Dear WINCH, Megan,
*** Please process this request urgently or this will be referred to the Ombudsman. ***
*** This matter relates to an OIA request made by another separate uninvolved party made on November 04, 2014 and is well outside the ordinary timeframe for a reply ***
I am very concerned to see that NZ Police has backtracked on their previous statement that the information would be released to the public via. the media, as per the following previous request:
https://fyi.org.nz/request/2147-precise-...
Why has the Police position changed on this matter? Also, did Police end up releasing this information to the media? If so, please provide a copy of this data.
Please note the previous request was rejected because it was due to be in the public domain so I find it hard to believe that the request would now be rejected.
Yours sincerely,
Cody C

Police have finally released the details on their website. I am disappointed with the time it has taken to get this information released.

It seems the response misses the original intent.
A list to challenging an infringement does not provide the information on all fixed speed camera locations in NZ.
