Dear Mr Wicks
Thank you for your email of 28 April 2017. We had placed your request on
hold on 12 April 2017 requesting a refinement as AT Metro have advised
that the work involved to collate the information is substantial. This
information isn’t readily held and requires customised reporting.
Unfortunately, upon receipt of your email, I noted that the email address
I had initially entered was incorrect. My apologies for the
inconvenience.
May we please have your refined request as per below?
Kind regards

Subject: Auckland Transport CAS-424622-K7J9L6 - Reliability Statistics
Importance: High
Dear Mr Wicks
Thank you for contacting Auckland Transport on 27 March 2017 requesting
reliability statistics of bus routes for the period January 2016 to March
2017.
We had begun working on your request on 28 March 2017 , however we have
found that the information you are seeking is overly broad and under
Section 10(2) of the LGOIMA a request for information must be specified
with due particularity.
In accordance with Section 13 of the LGOIMA we are entitled to charge to
cover the cost of the labour and materials involved in making information
available. Our rate in that regard is $47.50 (including GST) per half
hour and in this instance the time required to collate the information you
have requested is substantial (3.5 days required).
Therefore under Section 17(f) Auckland Transport proposes to refuse your
request based on substantial collation and research being required to
provide the requested information. However in accordance with our
obligation under Section 17B of the LGOIMA, we would ask that you refine
your request and reduce the amount of information you are seeking. This
can be done by way of reducing the number of services or period you are
requesting information for.
The request will be reassessed on receipt of the information to determine
the availability of such information and the possible costs associated
with the amount of work required to respond to your request.
Your request will remain on hold and if the information is not provided
within 20 working days your request will be closed.
We trust this information has clarified the process however you have the
right in accordance with section 27(3) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the
Office of the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with our response.
Kind regards
