From: Statistics
Accident Compensation Corporation

Good afternoon Pablo

As a ‘No Fault’ scheme, ACC only collect information relevant to
determining whether an accident is covered. Most of our information about
injuries is sourced from the ACC45 form; details of accidents are recorded
within a brief description of how the incident happened as the
individual/doctor chooses to identify it (eg. “The brakes failed on my BMX
bicycle riding down X road at X speed and hit a fence” versus “bicycle
accident”). This may mean we do not have the data to correctly identify
the number of hearing loss claims that can be directly attributed to the
Mt. Victoria Tunnel.

However, I will pass this through to one of our Analysts and they will
advise what information and analysis can be supplied. Your request has
been logged into our workflow tool with the reference #42496 and will be
assigned for action shortly.

We will endeavour to provide the requested information within 10 to 20
working days.

Regards
