I refer to your official information request dated 1 November 2017 for
information relating to the Tetra Trap catchpit screen.

 

The LGOIMA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to Wednesday, 6 December 2017.

 

This extension is necessary because your request necessitates a search
through a large quantity of information including our offsite archives and
meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our
operations.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.

 

If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this

We will treat this as a separate request and as such LGOIMA requires us to provide you the information no later than 20 working days after receiving your request, which is 25 January for your request. We will, however, respond earlier where possible. Please note that the period commencing 25 December and ending 15 January is not counted as working days in accordance with section 2(1) of LGOIMA.

"The average cost of a Tetra Trap is
$760. This includes the manufacturing (the main cost), installation costs and traffic control..." - Can you please provide a breakdown of this price/cost in manufacture, intstallation cost and traffic control?

"Council’s Healthy Waters department installed Tetra Traps on a trial basis." - What was the outcome of this trial? Are you able to supply further details here? What treatment efficiency and performance measured?

"...maintenance contracts were already in place and any extra costs are being absorbed by the maintenance contractors" - Can you please provide maintenance costs (assuming per catchpit) and details here?
