Who has authority to change the value of client repayment amounts.

L.K.Barber made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development

The request was successful.

From: L.K.Barber

Dear Ministry of Social Development,
1. After an overpayment debt has been established against a current client of WINZ, which department & position/s held within that department have the authority to alter i.e. increase, decrease agreed repayment amounts from clients?
2. Why is this alteration not recorded in a clients file?
3. What information is available to the decision maker before altering the agreed amount?
4.What process/ steps are involved prior to making this change?
5.Why is a client not advised of the decision?
This is an OIA request & my preferred method of correspondence is via this web site.

Yours faithfully,
L K Barber
