I note that you have not signed the Local Government Leaders' Climate Change Declaration. Furthermore, an article on the Stuff website today claims that you have "expressed firm opposition".
Would you please provide the wording of your response to the invitation to sign.

so our response was in the form of ‘Thank you for your invitation but
Manawatu District Council will not be signing’.
