Road accident data including date, time, location
Richard McMillan made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation
Accident Compensation Corporation did not have the information requested.
From: Richard McMillan
Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,
Could you please provide me with a dataset of all road accidents that you hold records for, including if at all possible any of the following: the time and date, location (preferably in lat/long or northing/easting grid reference), type of vehicles involved and severity of the incident, any other quantitative data would be a bonus. A snapshot of the past year would be sufficient.
Yours faithfully,
R B McMillan

Richard: try the NZTA - the national Crash Analysis System (CAS) should have the data you're looking for. This is collected by the Police (so you could try them too).
