Dear GCSB,
Thank you for your response of last November. I would like to make a further request on the same topic. I would like to request:
ONE: A copy of the current Joint Policy Statement – Human Rights Risk Management, which I understand was issued this past December
TWO: Copies of the Joint Policy Statement – Sensitive Category Individuals in both the version issued July 2021 and the version that preceded this. In this instance I am requesting (redacted) copies of the original documents, as opposed to the summaries provided in your response to my original request.
THREE: A copy of the Joint Policy Statement - Obtaining and Using Publically Available Information
Yours sincerely,
Scott

We refer to your official information request of 8 February 2022.
The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day you submitted your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are, therefore, writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision to 17 May 2022.
This extension is required because the consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
This extension is longer than what we would usually apply to information requests, and this is because we have taken potential COVID-19 disruptions into consideration. We will of course provide you with a response before 17 May if practicable.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this decision, please feel free to contact [GCSB request email]
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
