New Zealand Post Limited
Hi Margaret
Thank you for your patience regarding your OIA request about 39 Station
Road in Penrose. We have reviewed your request and we feel that given the
purpose for which you are seeking the information, your request would be
best addressed to Land Information New Zealand.
For the points we can assist with:
1. Please find attached a copy of the sale and purchase agreement
for the property at 39 Station Road.
2. We can confirm that while the premises at 39 Station Road in
Penrose are no longer owned by New Zealand Post Limited, postal services
for NZ Post are still being provided from the premises under a franchisee
agreement. We are unable to disclose the details of the franchisee
agreement as we believe, in accordance with section 9 (2) (b) (ii) of the
OIA, to do so would be likely to unreasonably prejudice the commercial
position of the person who supplied or is the subject of the information.
3. We do not have any correspondence on file with your client, Hull
Properties.
Kind regards,
OIA Officer

Dear Kirstin Price,
Thank you for the information supplied. I appreciate that the content of the franchise agreement may be confidential, however my client needs an answer to the following question for the purposes of seeking compensation under the Public Works Act:
When does the term of the New Zealand Post franchise agreement you have referred to expire, i.e. what is the minimum duration, and what is the maximum duration?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Matthew
