This is a request under the Official Information Act.
Please provide any communications between yourself, or your office and staff with the Public Service Commission and it's staff, or any other Cabinet Ministers or their offices and staff, including emails, reports, aide memoires, sms, watsapp, meeting minutes, etc, from 1 November 2023 onwards in relation to the below mentioned commitments from the Coalition Agreements between National and NZ First and National and ACT:
- “Ensure all public service departments have their primary name in English”
- Refering to New Zealand as Aotearoa in the context of the agreement to "Commit that in the absence of a referendum, our Government will not change the official name of New Zealand"
- " Require the public service departments and Crown Entities to communicate primarily in English - except those entities specifically related to Māori."
- " Remove co-governance from the delivery of public services."
- " As a matter of urgency, issue a Cabinet Office circular to all central government organisations that it is the Government’s expectation that public services should be prioritised on the basis of need, not race."

The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our
decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day that
we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet
that time limit and we are, therefore, writing to notify you of an
extension of the time to make our decision, 16 October 2024.
This extension is necessary because consultations necessary to make a
decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request
cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
I will keep you updated on the progress of our response to your request.
