related to Mâori."

- " As a matter of urgency, issue a Cabinet Office circular to all central
government    organisations that it is the Government’s expectation that
public services should be   prioritised on the basis of need, not race."

- "Amend the Public Service Act 2020 to clarify the role of the public
service, drive performance, and ensure accountability to deliver on the
agenda of the government of the day."

- "Ensure government contracts are awarded based on value, without racial
discrimination."

The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our
decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day that
we received your request.  Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet
that time limit and we are, therefore, writing to notify you of an
extension of the time to make our decision, 16 October 2024.

 

This extension is necessary because consultations necessary to make a
decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request
cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

 

I will keep you updated on the progress of our response to your request.
