Costs to NZ police for impounded vehicles
Bruce made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was partially successful.
From: Bruce
Dear New Zealand Police,
I request all information held by NZ Police that relates to the costs paid to all private towing or storage sites by NZ Police for impounded vehicles for the calendar year 2024.
Ideally, the breakdown of costs would show a breakdown in figures for each Police district. Additionally, I would hope to receive figures that show how many impounded vehicles were not reclaimed by the registered owner, the average length of impound, and the longest a vehicle was impounded.
Yours faithfully,
Bruce
