Advice on OIA reform
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Ministry of Justice,
In July 2012 the Law Commission presented its report on the OIA, "The Public's Right to Know: Review of the Official Information Legislation". While it recommended a number of minor changes, some of which have been implemented through Statutes Amendment acts, the review's core recommendations have not been implemented. I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* Any advice on reform of the OIA or LGOIMA in the last five years.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
